As 2008 comes to a close, we have many great memories to reflect on and celebrate. None of these would have been possible without the passionate people who have been using our site, so we’d like to sincerely thank all of you and wish you a great holiday season.
This past year we achieved a number of milestones, including our public launch in June, a back-to-school product release in August, and many enhancements to our planning tools which we’ll cover in a later post. Despite all we’ve accomplished in 2008, we’re even more excited about what we have in store for 2009 and look forward to continuing to make it easier for people to plan any type of activity or event.
To celebrate and cap off the past year, we had our second annual team holiday volunteer day (and a few beers afterwards). This year, we chose to help out Sunnyvale Volunteer Services with their Christmas Center which provides families a two-week supply of food, new gifts for infants through teens, and a gift for every household. This was especially rewarding this year given the impact that the current economic crisis is having on families. As SVC says, “Our business is booming, and that’s not good.” If you live in the area, you can check out other volunteer opportunities on their website.
We hope you’ve enjoyed many fun-filled activities and events this past year (many planned on Center’d we trust…), and we look forward to helping you plan many more great ones next year.
